Humble Hoof Podcast

August 2020

I was privileged to be asked to be interviewed for the Humble Hoof podcast. Following in the footsteps of some of the world's leading hoof experts who have been interviewed for this podcast was a little daunting to think about but I really enjoyed doing the interview. I come in at 34 minutes ish but highly recommend listening to the whole podcast, I love how we both say the same thing but from different perspectives.

Making the most of it

7 October 2013

"A busy weekend, with Steve Leigh down for a few days - despite being hoof anoraks for most of his visit we took Saturday morning off so that he could have his first taste of a proper day out on Exmoor accompanied by Charlie..."

A fantastic few days in hoof nerd nirvana topped off with a day on exmoor on the fabulous Charlie who looked after me and ensured we both had fun!

Barefoot Slow Motion Filming

17 September 2013

This weekend I was fortunate enough to have been invited to the Rockley Rehab Reunion 2013 where I was given the chance, first hand to witness the remarkable abilities of a barefoot horse in slow motion.

For those of you who wonder why I do what I do or bang on about letting the horse have the hoof it needs, then just take 5 minutes and watch this incredible video.

I was privileged to spend 3 days with the horses and owners and help with the filming - this has to be one of the most inspiring weekends I can remember.

Natures Way Shield

11 Janurary 2013

Had a fantastic night at the Northumberland and Tyneside EGB Annual Dinner in December. I was invited to give a talk about all things barefoot and then present the prizes which was real honour. There were some fantastic achievements by all the prizewinners but the highlight for me had to be presenting the Natures Way Natural Hoofcare Barefoot Challenge Shield (for the most miles covered in competitive rides either barefoot or booted) to Katy Carr my very own sponsored rider!!! She also won the Cottee Trophy, 2nd for the Newcomer Trophy and she got her 200kms rosette all completely barefoot - not to mention a few 'Grade Ones' and 'Best Condition' prizes throughout the season.

A Big well done from me Katy to you and the fantastic Karita Superstar - Delighted to have you as one of our sponsored riders again for this year!!
